Mudgee’s bi-annual wine and food showcase, Go Grazing, continues to go from strength to strength, with a record crowd attending Saturday night’s event.

Three hundred and forty people filled the Mudgee Showground Pavilion to sample dishes by 10 local caterers and restaurants, paired with wines from local wineries.
Although the number of tickets was increased, the event was once again sold out, cementing its reputation as one of the most popular Mudgee Wine and Food Festival events.
“This is the highest number we have done in Go Grazing,” said Kate Clementson, of Skimstone Wines, a member of the organising committee.
“Everyone is loving the wine and the food and the local produce.”
Ms Clementson said Go Grazing allowed visitors and locals to taste a variety of local wines and food in one place, in a relaxed atmosphere.
Many visitors return each year and the committee is already receiving enquiries about the next Go Grazing.
“There’s always a different mix of wineries and food and new food themes, so it’s different every year,” she said.
Chef Scott Tracey of the Wine Glass Bar & Grill teamed with Bunnamagoo Winery and was delighted with the results.
Mr Tracey said he had returned to Go Grazing after a break of a couple of years to support the wine industry, and in the process discovered a possible new addition to the Wine Glass Bar & Grill menu.
The Wine Glass Bar & Grill teamed a crab dish with Bunnamagoo 2012 Riesling, and missed out on winning the popular vote for the best first course by only one point.
Mr Tracey said he was very impressed with the organisation of the event and the standard of entries.
“I’ve never been to one of these where someone is not enjoying themselves,” he said.
“It’s a great showcase for the region.”
